S_Print
The DICOM print server. Without constraints.
S_Print is a DICOM Print SCP server that prints medical images on standard paper printers and generates patient booklets combining DICOM images and reports. It receives studies via DICOM Print and DICOM Store, lays them out automatically, and prints them on any printer.
One flow, four steps.
From their console, the radiologist or radiographer sends the images in DICOM. S_Print does the rest.
01
DICOM reception
S_Print listens for DICOM Print and DICOM Store, on a single or multiple ports, from all your equipment simultaneously.
02
Automatic processing
Contrast, brightness and histogram adjustments applied automatically before printing.
03
Layout
Automatic ultrasound layout and study merging: X-ray + ultrasound + report in the same booklet.
04
Printing
Sent to one or more printers, with print queues and statistics available to review.
All the features. As standard.
S_Print is designed to fit into your existing workflow through the open DICOM and HL7 standards, without changing the way you work.
Need to go beyond printing? S_Diff adds secure sharing to the patient portal hosted under HDS (French certified health-data hosting) and the DMP (the French shared medical record), and S_Burn adds handing studies over on physical media.
The interface is multilingual (French, English, Spanish), offers a day/night mode suited to the reading room, and a search bar to find any print job instantly.

Frequently asked questions.
What is S_Print?
S_Print is a DICOM Print SCP server developed by Seelo that prints medical images on standard paper printers and generates patient booklets combining DICOM images and reports.
Is S_Print a DICOM Print SCP?
Yes. S_Print behaves as a DICOM Print SCP: it declares itself as a DICOM printer to your modalities and consoles, which send it their films directly via DICOM Print.
Does S_Print also receive DICOM Store?
Yes. S_Print is also a DICOM Store SCP: modalities or the PACS can send it studies via DICOM Store, which it lays out and prints automatically (Store-to-Print, with patient recognition).
Which modalities are compatible with S_Print?
All DICOM modalities: MRI (MR), CT scanner (CT), ultrasound (US), X-ray (CR/DX) and others. S_Print is multi-modality and multi-vendor, with multiple AET calling/called configuration.
Can S_Print print in A4 and A3?
Yes. S_Print prints on standard paper sizes, including A4 and A3, as well as in booklet format — depending on the capabilities of the printer used.
Does S_Print handle colour and greyscale?
Yes. S_Print prints in greyscale for monochrome modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray) as well as in colour (ultrasound, Doppler).
Can S_Print generate a PDF?
Yes. In addition to paper printing, S_Print can produce the patient booklet as a PDF.
Can S_Print retrieve the report?
Yes. S_Print receives reports through its HL7 interface and links them to the study to compose a complete patient booklet (images + report).
Can S_Print create CT/MR booklets?
Yes. S_Print generates patient booklets for CT and MR studies — as for the other modalities — by automatically composing the DICOM images with a suitable layout.
Can S_Print handle several studies?
Yes. S_Print can group several studies for the same patient into a single booklet — for example X-ray + ultrasound + report (study merging).
Is S_Print compatible with Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Xerox, etc.?
Yes. S_Print prints on any standard paper printer with a Windows driver — Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Xerox, HP and others. No proprietary medical imager is required.
Can S_Print run without a PACS?
Yes. S_Print does not require a PACS: modalities send it their images directly via DICOM Print or DICOM Store. It also integrates with an existing PACS where one is present.
How is S_Print installed?
S_Print installs on a standard PC running Windows 10/11 (Core i3 or higher, 8 GB of RAM, 120 GB of disk) or on a virtual machine running Windows Server 2019+ (VMware, Proxmox). Installation and DICOM configuration (AET, listening ports, printers) are carried out by Seelo, on site or remotely.
How does S_Print handle logs and errors?
S_Print centralises print monitoring: queues, statistics and a reviewable job history, with a notification system. If an incident occurs (printer unavailable, failed sending), the job remains traced and can be restarted or deleted; Seelo remote maintenance enables remote diagnosis.
Is maintenance included?
Yes. Software updates to the features you have purchased, remote maintenance and on-site physical maintenance are included for the whole duration of the contract. Phone support Monday to Saturday, 8am–2am, with a guaranteed email response within 2 business hours.
